Growing up we all heard or said "Good night, don't let the bed bugs bite."
Most of us had no clue what that even meant or what, if anything was a bed bug.
Amazingly with the advancement of pesticides over the past 50 years, bed bugs were nearly eradicated.
It has been only in the last 5 years that we have seen a major resurgence.
As if that wasn't enough, research has shown that bed bug strains showing a resistance to traditional insecticides are now widespread throughout the United States!
You cannot just "get" bed bugs.
We at Global Pest Solutions know that it isn't just insects that invade your home.
We are committed to being your FULL SERVICE pest control.
The technicians at Global Pest Solutions have over 15 years of wildlife trapping and exclusion knowledge in Riverside, Orange and San Bernardino Counties.
Although very cute, wildlife is just that.
WILD.
These animal can carry diseases and can do thousands of dollars of damage to your home by chewing on wires, defecating and urinating, ripping off of roof tiles and vents in order to nest in or under your home.
The striped skunk is common throughout the United States and Canada.
Adult skunks begin breeding in late February, whereas yearling females mate in late March.
Gestation lasts approximately 7 - 10 weeks.
Older females tend to bear young in the first part of May, and yearling females tend to bear young in early June.
Here in Southern California, we have found throughout the years that we start seeing baby skunks starting as early as January!
Skunks usually have only one litter per year with 4 - 6 babies per litter.
The roof rat and the Norway rat are the two types of rats found in the United States.
Some of the differences between the rats are body size; Norway rats are large and robust, whereas roof rats are sleek and graceful.
The roof rat's belly is all white, buff, or all gray.
The Norway rat is white with gray underfur.
Roof rats are more aerial than the Norway with regards to their habitat selection, often living in trees or on vine-covered fences.
Roof rats frequently enter buildings from the roof or from accesses near overhead utility lines.
